Rosanna Vio

Lives and works in Oslo, Norway
Rosanna Vio is an Italian-born visual artist based in Oslo. Her practice moves across painting, textile and printmaking. Her work deals with space and the relationship between shapes and colours, rhytm, balance and unbalance. It deals with the space in between.
Vio attended the Academy of Fine Art in Genova, Italy, from where she degree in 2009 with a bachelor in Painting, followed by a Master in Set Design for theater, television and cinema. After graduation she worked for several years as assistant set designer at Genoa National Theatre. In 2012 she moves to Oslo where she now lives and works.
Since 2012, she has exhibited in several galleri in Oslo and outside, and her work with printmaking has received attention and several grants from the Norwegian Printmakers Foundation. She is a member of the Norwegian Artists’ Society/ NBK and of the Young Artists’ Society/UKS.
